From time to time we are reposting food reviews produced by Deadline Detroit's former Detroit Digest show with host Carlos Parisi.
The Detroit area has no shortage of pizza joints. So when Mootz Pizzeria popped up at 230 Library St. in downtown in January 2019, we didn't get that excited. Then we had a couple slices and changed our mind, quickly discovering it was a contender.
Now, two years later, Carlos Parisi is featuring the joint on Deadline TV's "Detroit Digest." He samples the pizza, meatballs, pasta and a stromboli -- a turnover with Italian cheeses and meats.
