A scene from the trailer
The TV drama, "Grosse Pointe Garden Society," which is supposed to take place in the upscale suburb of Detroit, premieres tonight at 10 p.m.
From watching the trailer it has the feel of ABC's "Desperate Housewives," which ran eight seasons, the last being in 2012.
The NBC website writes:
NBC’s thrilling new drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society follows four members of a suburban garden club. Alice, Birdie, Brett, and Catherine “find their lives intertwined by scandal, mischief and a shared secret — a murder no one wants to talk about,” the show’s synopsis reads. “As dark truths begin to rot their lives under the surface, they struggle to remain as perfect as the flowers blooming in their garden above.”
The first season will feature 12 episodes.
The show stars AnnaSophia Robb ("The Carrie Diaries"), Melissa Fumero (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), Ben Rappaport ("Outsourced"), Aja Naomi King ("Lessons in Chemistry") and Nancy Travis ("Last Man Standing").
The website IMDp says the show was filmed in Georgia. There's no indication what, if anything was actually filmed in Grosse Pointe.
