A former female school teacher at Lakeside Scholars Charter Academy in Waterford Township has pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a student, a 16-year-old boy she was tutoring in Pontiac.
Jocelynn Sanroman, 27, pleaded guilty to three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct on Monday, according to The Oakland Press.
Authorities said Sanroman told a colleague about the sexual misconduct, and the colleague then reported it to school officials, the publication reports.
The sex crimes reportedly occurred in July 2023.
Sentencing is set for April 28.
Each count carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
